Robinson Family Cabernet Sauvignon 2003 is a true boutique wine. Barrel aged 24 months in French Oak, it is produced in the Robinson Family estate in the Stag's Leap region of Napa Valley, California. Perfectly situated under the face of the Stag's Leap Palisades lays their hillside property. The Cabernet Sauvignon 2003 has a great dark purple, ruby and brick color. Loads of blackberry, cherry and cassis mixed with sage and mineral notes, predominate the nose. In the mouth this wine shows power and intensity with a strong backbone of tannins and acid framed with juicy blackberry and currant fruit flavors. The finish is supple and lingers on and on. It's an excellent selection from this Stags Leap Vineyard. Only 350 cases were made.
